Abstract In order to influence the human melatonin reservoir, the invention proposes the use of bodies, particularly glasses, having a transmittivity for light waves of a wavelength of about 460 nm of at least 92%, preferably of at least 95% or even 99%, as window glazings, for example, in the construction of houses, for sunrooms, or for indoor riding arenas. If said bodies are coated bodies, the invention proposes the use of a coating sol or gel, containing a hydrolyzable or partially or completely hydrolyzed silane and/or SiO2− and/or ZrO2− particle for producing the coating.
