Composite elements (I) containing (a) a supporting element of non-polar plastic consisting of polyolefin, olefin copolymer or blends of these, (b) an interlayer of non-woven fabric based on polyolefin, olefin copolymer, styrene copolymer, polyamide, polyester, polyacrylonitrile, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), copolyester-ether, polyether, glass or natural fibre, and (c) a layer of TPU. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of (I) by extruding a layer of TPU onto non-woven fabric (b), cooling the product, placing the product in one half of a mold and closing the mold with the second half, injecting plastic (a) into the closed mold and then cooling and demolding the product.
