Summary: | The safety shutter prevents fire spreading through an air conduit, and comprises a rectangular plate hinging in a housing rectangular on the inside. The internal profile of the housing (1) is widened by a niche (2) in the wall, and into which the plate (3) hinges, flush with the wall in the open position. The plate has a bolt (4) at one end forming a bearing, and situated at the downstream end, its axis being at right angles to the flow direction (10). The length of the plate is greater than the cross-section of the rectangular passage through the housing, measured in the transverse direction. USE/ADVANTAGE - Fire spread prevention shutter in conduit. Simplicity, reliability, and only slightly increases air flow resistance during normal operation. |
