Based on the high and low of the electric voltage, the rotary switch alters the reactance quantity of the circuit of the connected florescent lamp. In the fluctuation range of the electric voltage of 160 volt to 240 volt, the florescent lamp is caused to normally start and work, the brightness of the florescent lamp is optionally adjusted, thus the goal of the electrical energy saving is achieved. The specifications of the ballast of the utility model are 6 tiles, 8 tiles, 10 tiles, 15 tiles, 20 tiles, 30 tiles and 40 tiles.
