Summary:An organic composite insulator comprises a mandril, an umbrella cover, and an electric metal, which is characterized in that the umbrella cover is formed by the permutation and combination of three different umbrella bodies with different diameters in some order. The new type insulator can effectively increases creepage distance, distinctly reduce no light interval flashover, and enhance the ability of damp and dirty resistance, which is especially applicable to the insulator with voltage rating above 10 KV.
