A segmented control arm assembly for a vehicle is disclosed. The control arm assembly includes a first elongate section having a first connection feature at one end of the first section. The control arm assembly includes a second elongate section having a second connection feature at one end of the second section. The first and second connection features are aligned to form an aperture that extends at least partially through the first and section connection features through which the bushing is press-fitted and then forged to form a robust connection that reduces or eliminates the need for mechanical fasteners or adhesive bonds.
