Abstract An excavator for a narrow work space comprises an excavator body which is provided with two sections of telescopic arm bodies, and a walking device of the excavator body is arranged to be a supporting and prying type moving device (13), and the excavator for the narrow work space further comprises a support which is arranged at one end of the excavator body and used for being hinged to the telescopic arm bodies, the hinged-connection portions of the telescopic arm bodies and the support are arranged on the outer side of the outer end face of the supporting and prying type moving device (13) so that the positions of the telescopic arm bodies can move outward, and the moving space of the telescopic arm bodies is enlarged. Thus, the excavator body is favorable for completing the action of excavating and back shoveling.
