Abstract The utility model discloses a caterpillar track tensioning mechanism of an excavator, and the mechanism comprises a guide wheel, a caterpillar track, a caterpillar track frame, a nut and a screw. The caterpillar track tensioning mechanism of the excavator is characterized in that the caterpillar track is arranged on the guide wheel, the screw is assembled on the screw hole of a caterpillar track frame baffle, the end of the screw is pushed to a locating hole of a support base of the guide wheel, and a gap is left between the end and the locating hole. The screw is adopted to push the guide wheel to achieve the purpose of tensioning the caterpillar track of the excavator. The caterpillar track tensioning mechanism is simple in structure, compact in arrangement, convenient in manufacture, low in cost and remarkable in effect.
