Abstract Hyperboloid limit baffles used on a swing drum type positive displacement pump adopt the structure that the surface of each limit baffle takes the shape of a hyperbolical surface, specifically the hyperbolical surface is matched with the compound motion trail of one or more limit rollers, and the curvature of the hyperbolical surface is decided by the swing angle of a rotary drum, the length of a pin shaft extended out of the rotary drum, as well as the shape, the amount, and the diameter of the limit roller(s). When the inclination direction of the rotary drum changes unceasingly, one of the limit rollers is always in contact with one of the limit baffles, and the jointless contact happens between the limit rollers and the limit baffles alternately, so that the impact on the limit baffles caused by the limit rollers is prevented, the motion of all connecting rods is in a symmetric state, the running noise is greatly lowered, the energy consumption is reduced, and the motion efficiency is improved.
