Abstract | Disclosed is a method for producing a spherical activated carbon which is characterized by comprising (1) a step for forming a spherical body composed of a thermally fusible resin; (2) a step for forming a thermally infusible spherical body by oxidizing the thermally fusible resin spherical body; and (3) a step for forming a spherical activated carbon by activating the thermally infusible spherical body. With this method, there can be easily obtained a spherical activated carbon having desired physical properties (such as average particle size, particle size distribution, pore volume or specific surface area). |
