The denitrifying and pollutant removing waste water treating method and apparatus has artificial wet land with planted woody and herbal plant. It includes a waste water introducing area for flocculating and filtering waste water and initially decomposing carbon and nitrogen containing organic matter; an aerating tower area for further aerobic decomposing of organic matter and nitrifying ammonia nitrogen and with two or more layer of wet land to form tower; and a waste water merging area connected to the lower part of the aerating tower area for denitrifying nitrate nitrogen, decomposing the rest organic matter and draining treated water. The denitrifying and pollutant removing waste water treating apparatus may be formed into a landscape to beautify environment while treating waste water.
