Abstract This invention relates to a dripping capacitor rain meter method and its device. Its method comprises the following steps: to adopt a rain receiver with area S to make rain flow into the flow tube to form dripping drops; to make the drops orderly go through a poison sensor and a capacitor sensor, wherein, the position sensor determines the start time of the drop; to use one signal process unit to do the integral computation of the two conversion devices output values that are the one through the capacitor sensor and the one leaving the capacitor sensor; to compute the two integral relative variables to get the current rain drop volume. Its device comprises the rain tundish and its down throttle tube, position sensor, capacitor sensor and converter and signal process unit.
