Summary:The production process of tert-amyl alcohol includes catalytic distillation to separate C5 fraction from gasoline fraction and eliminate its conjugated diolefine and other impurity; mixing the separated C5 fraction with water and other solvent and the hydration in a fixed bed reactor through contact with solid acid catalyst; separation of tert-amyl alcohol and solvent recovery for reuse. The present invention can prolong the service life of catalyst and lower the operation cost.
