Abstract The invention relates to the technical field of image recognition, in particular to a personnel safety protection equipment detection method and system based on image recognition, and the method comprises the steps: carrying out the defogging of a collected underground target image of a coal mine through employing an improved dark channel prior defogging algorithm, and obtaining a result image; and carrying out image identification on the result image to obtain an identification result. According to the scheme, the defogging effect of the image can be improved, and then the detection accuracy of the safety protection equipment of the coal mine personnel is improved. 本发明涉及图像识别技术领域,具体涉及基于图像识别的人员安全防护装备检测方法及系统,其方法包括:采用改进的暗通道先验去雾算法对采集的煤矿井下的目标图像进行去雾处理,得到结果图像;对所述结果图像进行图像识别,得到识别结果。即本发明的方案能够提高图像的去雾效果,进而提高煤矿人员安全防护装备的检测的准确性。
