Abstract | The invention relates to the technical field of image recognition, in particular to a personnel safety protection equipment detection method and system based on image recognition, and the method comprises the steps: carrying out the defogging of a collected underground target image of a coal mine through employing an improved dark channel prior defogging algorithm, and obtaining a result image; and carrying out image identification on the result image to obtain an identification result. According to the scheme, the defogging effect of the image can be improved, and then the detection accuracy of the safety protection equipment of the coal mine personnel is improved.
