Abstract The invention provides a stylus and a sensor control circuit. A stylus, which receives an uplink signal from an external sensor control circuit and transmits a downlink signal in accordance with the uplink signal, is provided with: a first electrode provided in a first portion; a second electrode provided in a second portion different from the first portion; and a control circuit for controlling the transmission of the downlink signal, the control circuit determining the holding state of the stylus on the basis of the uplink signal and switching between a first transmission mode and a second transmission mode on the basis of the determination, the first transmission mode is a mode in which a downlink signal is transmitted from the first electrode and the downlink signal is not transmitted from the second electrode, and the second transmission mode is a mode in which the downlink signal is not transmitted from the first electrode and the downlink signal is transmitted from the second electrode. 本发明提供一种触控笔及传感器控
