Abstract The invention discloses a power transmission line abnormal state monitoring analysis method and system based on an optical sensing and traveling wave technology, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining an abnormal optical signal of an OPGW optical cable of a to-be-monitored transformer substation and an abnormal traveling wave signal of a bus and a line of the transformer substation, and carrying out the processing to obtain abnormal signal data, further extracting a vibration time-frequency characteristic factor, an icing characteristic factor and a wind speed characteristic factor of the distributed geological disaster of the OPGW optical cable, and a power transmission line abnormal state traveling wave characteristic factor; constructing an OPGW optical cable and power transmission line equivalent model, calculating geological disaster positions, icing thicknesses and wind disaster levels among towers at all levels of the power transmission line, and accurately positioning fault points of the power
