Abstract The invention belongs to the technical field of preparation of epoxy resin, and particularly relates to low-chroma epoxy resin and a production process thereof. The production process of the low-chroma epoxy resin comprises the following steps: preparation of a system I: adding bisphenol A and epoxy chloropropane into a reaction kettle; preparation of a system II: adding polyethylene glycol and an alkali solution, and dropwise adding an epoxy chloropropane solution of an antioxidant into the reaction kettle; under the conditions that the pressure is 15 kPa to 25 kPa and the temperature is 50 DEG C to 70 DEG C, an alkali solution and an epoxy chloropropane solution of an antioxidant are dropwise added into the reaction kettle respectively, and a third system is obtained; the epoxy chloropropane is recovered; refining: pumping the reaction liquid into a refining kettle, adding toluene, heating to 70-90 DEG C, and adopting a step-by-step standing and liquid separation mode to obtain toluene resin; and debenzoliz
