The invention discloses a method for detecting the content of organic matters in a trimethylolpropane condensation liquid sample, which comprises the following steps of: (1) preparing a test solution, separating out calcium salt of the trimethylolpropane condensation liquid sample by using chromatographic grade pure acetonitrile as an extracting agent, and taking supernate as the test solution; (2) preparing a reference solution; and (3) respectively carrying out gas chromatographic analysis on the reference solution and the test solution. The method comprises the following steps: pretreating a trimethylolpropane condensation liquid by adopting an organic solvent, extracting calcium salt in the trimethylolpropane condensation liquid, reducing the content of water, and qualitatively and quantitatively analyzing various organic matters in a sample by adopting a gas chromatographic analysis method. According to the method, the content of calcium salt and water in the trimethylolpropane condensation liquid can be
