Abstract | The invention relates to a method for producing a plastic body in crystal optics, in which a plastic material (200) is molded into a plastic body having a plurality of facets in a cavity (110) of a mold (100) which has a first surface texture (120) in the region of the cavity, the first surface texture produces a second surface texture (20) on the surface of the plastic body at least in the region of one facet, which second surface texture serves as a diffraction grating for visible light. The invention also relates to a plastic body in crystal optics and to a vehicle component having such a plastic body.
