Abstract | The invention discloses a DNA storage coding and decoding method for video data, and the method comprises the steps: carrying out the splitting of a target video, so as to obtain a plurality of video segments of the target video; analyzing each video clip to obtain video information of the video clip, and converting the video information of each video clip into a corresponding sequence to be coded, the sequence to be coded being an N-ary sequence; the video information comprises multimedia information and meta information; on the basis of a bit-base mapping rule, coding each to-be-coded sequence into a plurality of base sequences corresponding to each video clip; adding corresponding preset primers to the plurality of base sequences, and performing DNA synthesis and storage on each base sequence added with the primers to obtain DNA storage data of the target video; the preset primer is related to the position of the video clip corresponding to the base sequence in the target video.
