Abstract | The invention discloses a method for refining a by-product calcium formate of a calcium-process trimethylolpropane production system, which comprises the following steps: 1) carrying out condensation reaction on formaldehyde and n-butyraldehyde under the condition of calcium hydroxide to obtain a condensation solution containing calcium formate and trimethylolpropane; (2) adding 0.3 to 5 percent of cationic polyacrylamide to flocculate insoluble substances; (3) filtering the flocculated condensation liquid through a plate frame to separate insoluble impurities, and enabling filtrate to enter an evaporator; 4) performing triple-effect evaporation on the filtrate, crystallizing in a first evaporator, extracting a crystallization liquid from the bottom of the first evaporator, and feeding the crystallization liquid to a buffer settling tank; 5) adding formic acid into the buffer settling tank, settling for 1 hour until the calcium formate settles to the bottom of the buffer settling tank, 6) centrifugally separa |
