The invention provides a method and a system for monitoring open circuit of a pull rope switch signal of a coal conveying belt, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining second sample data associated with first sample data, the first sample data being reference signal monitoring data used for monitoring signal monitoring data or features of the reference signal monitoring data; the first sample data and the second sample data conform to a specified common relationship, and finally obtaining a monitoring result corresponding to the to-be-analyzed signal monitoring data through the to-be-analyzed signal monitoring data, the first sample data and the second sample data. When the monitored to-be-analyzed signal monitoring data and the first sample data have the incidence relation, the second sample data is combined on the basis of the first sample data for monitoring, so that the situation that specific signal monitoring data are monitored mistakenly can be reduced, and the monitoring accuracy of the signal m
