Abstract | This steer-by-wire control device is provided with a control device (19) for controlling a first motor (18) for operating a steering wheel (12) of a vehicle and a second motor (35) for controlling the steering operation of wheels. Before a vehicle shifts to an automatic driving mode, a control device (19) applies an input torque to a steering wheel (12) in a forward rotation direction and a reverse rotation direction of a first motor (18) by means of the first motor (18) (S11), acquires behavior information of the steering wheel (12) obtained by applying the input torque (S12), and determines whether or not to estimate a control parameter of the steering wheel (12) on the basis of the behavior information (S15-S16). The behavior information includes at least one of a value of a rotation angle of the steering wheel and a value obtained by time-differentiating the rotation angle.
