Abstract The invention discloses a method for generating a network topology based on an OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), which accurately reflects the network structure of OSPF protocol traffic through a topological structure, performs shortest path speculation according to an overhead value recorded on an association relationship, reduces calculation complexity, replays the change of the whole network topology according to time, optimizes details of processing efficiency, and improves the processing efficiency. Based on the flow analysis of the OSPF protocol, the reachability between equipment nodes is relatively complete, and the change of the network topology is replayed based on time by replaying the flow data of the OSPF protocol frame by frame. The network topology construction is carried out based on the traffic itself, the network topology construction is not limited by online and offline scenes, and meanwhile, various required account permissions and pre-configuration problems do not need to be actively detec
