Abstract | A portable handheld electrospinning or electrospraying device for electrospinning or electrospraying a predetermined solution toward a deposition surface includes a durable portion of the handheld device and a consumable portion of the handheld device. The consumable of the handheld device may contain a solution output in an electrospinning or electrospray manner, and may be fully or partially replaced to provide an additional or alternative solution. A base station may be provided, and the base station may output high voltage and communication signals to the handheld device to enable the handheld device to perform electrospinning or electrospray operations.
