Abstract | The invention provides a wireless communication method, user equipment and a base station. In a wireless system, a UE reports GNSS assistance information to a network entity, the GNSS assistance information comprising a duration required for GNSS positioning measurements; detecting one or more GNSS measurement trigger conditions in the RRC connected state; determining whether the duration required by the GNSS positioning measurement is not greater than the GNSS measurement duration of network scheduling; and when the duration required by the GNSS positioning measurement is not greater than the GNSS measurement duration of the network scheduling, executing a GNSS position acquisition process within the GNSS measurement duration of the network scheduling in the RRC connection state, otherwise, leaving the RRC connection state and executing the GNSS position acquisition process in an RRC idle state. According to the invention, wireless communication can be better carried out.
