Abstract | The invention discloses a method for preparing a supercapacitor carbon material by using oxidation modified petroleum coke, which comprises the following steps: crushing petroleum coke, and drying to obtain petroleum coke powder; the method comprises the following steps: adding petroleum coke powder and an activator into water, uniformly stirring and mixing, then transferring into a drying oven, and drying to obtain a petroleum coke-activator mixture; the petroleum coke-activator mixture is placed in an inert atmosphere for an activation reaction, and after the reaction is finished, an activated product is obtained; sequentially grinding, washing and drying the activated product to obtain activated petroleum coke powder; and adding the activated petroleum coke powder into a hydrogen peroxide solution, heating, stirring and uniformly mixing, then transferring into a drying oven, and drying to obtain the oxidized modified petroleum coke, namely the supercapacitor carbon material.
