Abstract | A computer-implemented method of dynamically monitoring hull cleanliness of a vessel during navigation of the vessel. The method is executed on a computing device and includes retrieving environmental data from a memory of the computing device, the environmental data associated with environmental conditions of the vessel; determining a fouling protection value, the fouling protection value defining a tolerance to fouling associated with the surface of the vessel; and identifying a fouling risk level on the surface of the vessel based on the fouling protection value and the environmental condition.
