Various embodiments of the present invention describe systems and methods for verifying user access within an authorized building/venue by sharing user credentials using virtual electronic badges. The system includes a first device associated with a user, the first device configured to store a unique identifier representing user credentials issued to the user. The second device is configured to communicate with the first device and obtain a unique identifier associated with the user. The system includes a server communicatively coupled with a first device and a second device and configured to store therein profile information of a user associated with the first device and the second device. The system further includes a second device communicating the unique identifier with the server and receiving profile information replicated on the second electronic device in the form of an electronic badge associated with a user of the first device.
