Abstract The invention relates to an overpressure vent system for an aircraft fuel tank. An overpressure discharge (OPV) system (150) for a fuel tank (102) of an aircraft (800) is provided. The OPV system (150) includes an OPV valve (152) configured to be coupled in fluid communication with a supply line (104) of a nitrogen-rich air distribution system, NEADS (100), such that the OPV valve (152) is configured to discharge pressure from the supply line (104). The OPV valve (152) is configured to be coupled in fluid communication with the supply line (104) upstream of the outlet (136) of the supply line (104), and the NEADS (100) delivers nitrogen-rich gas from the outlet (136) to the fuel tank (102).
