Abstract | The invention belongs to the technical field of ecological restoration, and particularly relates to a vegetation ecological restoration method for a waste residue field in a sub-alpine forest shrub area. The method comprises the steps that transplanting belts are excavated at the top end, the middle and the bottom end of the slope of the waste slag yard in the cross slope direction and in the down-slope direction; covering the side slope with surface soil; local shrubs and arbors are transplanted in the transplanting belts; transplanting a small amount of arbors and indigenous shrubs in a planting area formed by criss-cross transplanting belts to form a shrub island, and planting herbaceous plants; and performing maintenance management. According to the method, after the vegetation is recovered for 6 months, the total coverage of the side slope of the waste residue field can be improved by 45%-48%, the coverage of shrubs can be improved by 25%-27%, the coverage of herbs can be improved by 43%-46%, the number |
