Summary:The invention discloses an application of an OsCOL5 gene in regulation and control of a heading stage of rice. The OsCOL5 gene is from a rice variety Nipponbare, and the gene encodes a B-box/CCT zinc finger protein with 333 amino acids, and belongs to a CONSTANS-like transcription factor gene family. Researches find that the OsCOL5 is positioned in a cell nucleus and has relatively strong transcriptional self-activation activity, and the expression mode of the OsCOL5 shows obvious rhythmicity. Genetic transformation experiments prove that the OsCOL5 overexpression transgenic plant can delay rice heading under long-day and short-day conditions; the knockout of the OsCOL5 has no obvious phenotypic change, which indicates that the gene may have a function redundancy phenomenon. According to expression analysis and interaction experiment speculation, the OsCOL5 is located at the upstream of Ghd7 and Ehd2 in a rice photoperiod flowering pathway, and interacts with the OsELF3-1 and the OsELF3-2. 本发明公开了OsCOL5基因在调控水稻
