Abstract | The invention provides an imaging device, an imaging control method, and an imaging control program capable of reducing the burden of a manual focusing operation. The image pickup apparatus includes an image pickup optical system, an image pickup element, and a processor that, in a first focus mode, outputs moving image data captured by the image pickup element to a display terminal via the image pickup optical system, and detects a focus region in an image represented by the moving image data from the moving image data.
