Abstract Absorbent structures and methods of manufacture are disclosed. In one embodiment, an absorbent structure may include a first layer, a second layer, and a mixture of particles and a binder disposed between the first layer and the second layer, the superabsorbent particles disposed at greater than 400 gsm and less than 600 gsm, and the binder disposed at greater than 4 wt% and less than 5 wt% of the weight of the particles.
