Summary:A hub assembly (10) is provided that includes a mounting base (12) and a hub (14) supported by a plurality of bearings (46, 48) disposed within an annular space between the hub and the mounting base for rotation on the mounting base. A sealing system (56, 58) is provided that seals all intrusion points in the space such that liquid contaminants are suppressed or prevented from entering the space and reaching the bearings when the assembly is subjected to a immersion/thermal shock test in which the assembly is heated to an elevated temperature and then immersed in a cold bath of the liquid contaminants.
