| Abstract | The invention provides a coil assembly. The coil component includes: a main body including magnetic metal particles and an insulating resin; a coil portion disposed within the main body and including a lead-out portion exposed to one surface of the main body; a surface insulating layer disposed on the main body and having an opening exposing each of at least a portion of the lead-out portion and at least a portion of the one surface of the main body; and an external electrode disposed in the opening and connected to the lead-out portion, in which a connection metal layer is disposed in a region of the one surface of the body exposed in the opening, the connection metal layer including connection metal layer particles, the connecting metal layer particles are formed by connecting at least some of the magnetic metal particles to each other, and an area of a metal component portion including the connecting metal layer in the region is greater than or equal to 75% of an area of the region.
