Abstract | The invention provides a hafnium-containing aluminum alloy and a preparation method and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of alloys. The hafnium-containing aluminum alloy provided by the invention comprises the following elements in percentage by mass: 3-15% of Zn, 1-6% of Mg, 1-5% of Cu, 0.1-2% of Zr, 0.1-2% of Hf and the balance of Al. The specific content of hafnium is introduced into the aluminum alloy, the mechanical properties (such as strength and toughness) of the aluminum alloy can be effectively improved, the industrial price of hafnium is only one third of that of scandium, and therefore the aluminum alloy has wide industrial application prospects.
