Abstract The invention provides a seabed pipe cable scouring prediction method based on ConvLSTM and OpenFOAM numerical calculation coupling. The method comprises the following steps: establishing a three-dimensional scouring numerical model of a seabed pipe cable based on open source code OpenFOAM of computational fluid mechanics; setting initial conditions such as pipe cable size, physical parameters of flow facies and sedimentary facies, ocean current velocity, wave elements and model boundary conditions in the model, and carrying out local scouring numerical calculation on the submarine pipe cable under different wave current working conditions to obtain pipe cable scouring range, scouring depth, pipe cable stress and wake flow velocity flow field distribution under different wave current working conditions; the numerical model is optimized by using measured data; and establishing a local scouring ConvLSTM prediction model of the submarine pipe cable, and obtaining an optimal model through training verification.
