Abstract | The invention provides an attachment concept for a traction battery pack enclosure assembly. The motorized vehicle may be powered by a traction battery pack. An exemplary traction battery pack may include a housing assembly having a tray and a lid. One or more articulated locking plate assemblies may be utilized to secure the cover to a tray of the housing assembly. The articulating locking plate assembly may be configured to apply a clamping force or a compressive force across an interface between the closure and the tray to enhance retention and provide a leak-proof engagement.
