Abstract The invention discloses a method for improving the pipe bending precision of a foot pipe. S1, the positioning beating plates on the two sides are adjusted to be in a discharging state; the center positions of the two positioning beating plates coincide with the center position of the bent arm device; s2, one or more steel pipes are placed between the two positioning beating plates; s3, the positioning beating plates on the two sides are controlled to synchronously and oppositely move so as to beat the steel pipe; the positioning clapper moves close to clamp the steel pipe with the maximum length; meanwhile, the unclamped short-length steel pipe deviates between the two positioning clapping plates under the clapping action of the positioning clapping plate on any side, and finally when the steel pipe stops moving, the center position of the short-length steel pipe coincides with the center position between the two positioning clapping plates; or the center position of the steel pipe with the short length devia
