The method comprises the following steps: acquiring online oil chromatographic data of a target oil-immersed power transformer, and normalizing the online oil chromatographic data to obtain standard oil chromatographic data; inputting the standard oil chromatographic data into a target regularization orthogonal inverse learning neural network model, and dividing the category of the standard oil chromatographic data to obtain a fault result of the target oil-immersed power transformer; wherein the regularization orthogonal inverse learning neural network model adopts a Gouburg polynomial function as an activation function.
