Abstract | The invention relates to the technical field of geological exploration, in particular to an equilibrium profile recovery method for development and evolution of a reverse fault tectonic zone of a broken basin. Comprising the following steps: selecting a typical inverse fault zone seismic section in a research area, and performing time-depth conversion to form a structural section; a back-stripping method is adopted, the structural section serves as a base map, a new map layer is built on the CorelDRAW, back-stripping is conducted on the stratum layer by layer, and the form of the structure in each period is recovered; according to the section geologic structure, the denudated stratum and the thickness of the denudated stratum are analyzed from the geological logic, and then compensation is conducted according to the balance section principle.
