Abstract | The present invention relates to a composition for producing clay particles comprising clay and a combination of one or more sintering agents and one or more pore formers. The clay particles can be used as a filter material for purification of liquids, in particular for filtration of water. The invention also relates to a filter for water treatment comprising the clay particles according to the invention as a filter medium.
