Abstract | The invention discloses a wet oxidation catalyst as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The catalyst comprises a modified carrier and a platinum group metal, and the modified carrier comprises the following components in parts by weight: (a) 85-99 parts of TiO2; (b) 0.1 to 10 parts of Nb2O5; the main crystal form of TiO2 is an anatase type, and the particle size of TiO2 is 10-40 nm. The preparation method of the catalyst comprises the following steps: S1, mixing, kneading and forming a niobium-containing compound and anatase type nano TiO2, and drying and roasting to obtain a catalyst carrier; s2, treating the catalyst carrier by adopting an alkaline solution, and drying to obtain a modified carrier; and S3, loading a platinum group metal on the modified carrier, drying, and reducing to obtain the wet oxidation catalyst.
