Abstract A coal rock water injection wetting range monitoring method based on an ultrasonic point-plane array specifically comprises the steps that a cubic coal rock sample is selected, a hole is linearly drilled in the face center position of any face to the center point of the cube, and drying is conducted; arranging a piezoelectric ceramic group at the central point of the cube through the drill hole, coupling the piezoelectric ceramic group with the hole wall, uniformly arranging acoustic emission transducers which are arrayed at equal intervals on six surfaces of the cube, coupling the acoustic emission transducers with the coal rock sample, and forming an independent monitoring path with the piezoelectric ceramic group in the hole; the method comprises the following steps: firstly exciting a piezoelectric ceramic group, then sequentially exciting transducers on each surface, reserving similar monitoring data of the same monitoring path for two times, and carrying out analysis and calculation by adopting a local
