The invention relates to an electrically insulating touch protection device for an end of an electrical conductor, having an insulating tube and a housing configured to receive the end of the electrical conductor, where the housing comprises an end portion directed towards the insulating tube, the end portion having a first section configured to be insertable into the insulating tube and a second section configured to be insertable into the insulating tube, and the second section can be mounted on the insulating tube. The insulating tube remains partially visible from the exterior of the housing by inserting and mounting the end portion in sections. This makes it possible to verify, by visual monitoring, whether the insulating tube and the housing have been correctly connected and whether such is continuously present, respectively.
