| Abstract | The invention provides a method and equipment for negotiating a flexible Ethernet group. The method comprises the following steps: recording a configuration instruction of a local FlexE physical interface of a local flexible Ethernet FlexE interface; setting a negotiation timer; when the negotiation timer arrives, negotiating whether the local FlexE physical interface corresponds to the FlexE physical interface of the butt-joint FlexE interface; and if yes, executing the recorded configuration instruction to configure the local FlexE physical interface.
