Abstract | The invention relates to a slow-release non-protein nitrogen additive as well as a preparation method and a use method thereof. The slow-release non-protein nitrogen additive comprises a component N-formyl urea. In actual use, the content of N-formyl urea in the slow-release non-protein nitrogen additive can be 10%-100%. The slow-release non-protein nitrogen additive is high in nitrogen content, more resistant to microbial decomposition, better in slow-release effect and capable of improving the conversion rate of microorganisms to convert ammonia into protein nitrogen. The traditional protein nitrogen feed can be replaced, and the content of non-protein nitrogen accounts for 2/3 of the total nitrogen content. Meanwhile, the product is simple in production process, is a powdery solid, is completely water-soluble, is easy to use, not only can be easily mixed with solid feed, but also can be conveniently used in drinking water of ruminants after being dissolved.
