Abstract The invention relates to a method for decyanation treatment of cyanidation tailings and a decyanation agent composition. The decyanation agent composition comprises inorganic metal salt, a flocculating agent and a catalyst. Based on the total weight of the decyanation agent composition, the content of the inorganic metal salt is 20-80% by weight, the content of the flocculant is 5-10% by weight, and the content of the catalyst is 5-20% by weight.
