Abstract | The invention is suitable for the technical field of ultrasonic detection of butt welds of small-diameter connecting pipes, and discloses a bicrystal phased array detection device and method for converging acoustic beams by using a curved surface. The detection device comprises a probe and wedge block integration device, a mechanical scanning device, an ultrasonic phased array detector, a stepping motor controller and a water spraying device. According to the detection method based on the detection device, acoustic beams are converged through the curved surface of the small-diameter connecting pipe, so that the spread angle of the acoustic beams covers the thickness of a welding seam, the acoustic beams cover the width of the welding seam through the electronic fan scanning technology, the bicrystal phased array probe reduces a detection blind area in a one-transmitting and one-receiving mode, and transverse crack detection is achieved through the end point diffraction technology.
